I made it! After 24 hours of travelling, I got to my hostel in Buenos Aires. I stayed Friday and Saturday night at the Millhouse hostel, which is in the microcenter of BA. The area itself was not that great. Its where all the business takes place, so during the week, its crowded, but on the weekends, there really isn´t much going on. However, the hostel I stayed in was pretty fun. The first night, I met people from all over, most of whom were actually finishing up their trips... I am just starting! I was too excited to have jet lag, so we went out to this club Sunset, which was awesome. Things don´t get going here until about 3am, so we got there at 2:30 and left a little after 5am. Saturday I just walked around town and then met up with some Americans that live here now, one of whom I knew from BU (Sachin!). I went to meet them at this big pillow fight, but it was too crazy so we met up afterwards, went out to dinner at this sushi restaurant (the sushi rice was really sweet) and the to some bars. I have really bad allergies here so I left cause I was tired of being the snotty face kid in the corner.
This morning I switched hostels and I am now in San Telmo. I may switch hostels cause this one is a little out of the way and pretty quiet. We´ll see.
Tomorrow I start my spanish class for the week and then hopefully to Patagonia!
I have yet to try some local food. The closest I got was some street meat cause I was famished... I saw a girl selling tacos on the street but I was too nervous... its too soon to get sick. AND everyone in the hostels are on a budget, so its not like anyone is down to go out for a nice meal, which I probably can´t afford either. I´ll just wait for Gary to get here and we can chow since he´s as good of an eater as I am :)

Hi Sugar - happy to hear you are having fun. That sucks about the alergies, just suck down some SA vino to take care of it. Can't wait to talk to you on the phone. It still seems so so weird that you won't be around this week/weekend. I really can't believe it. I am SO jealous you are in the warm weather. It is getting fing cold here. Miss you - talk to you soon!
i wonder what you are allergic too! is it pollen/ragweed season in SA? you're probably just not used the warmth and live plants being around you. it is officially winter here- not one living plant in sight and freeeezing.
Tell us more about this pillow fight? how many people were involved? and yeah, i'm a good eater!
